Happy 2nd Halloween from Caroline!

Last night Uncle Jack came over for dinner and "pumpkin guts!" Jack and James carved a couple of happy Jack O Lanterns. Caroline loved getting her hands gooey. There were seeds all over the kitchen!

Preparing her teeth for Lollipops, Chocolate Candy Bars, Reese's Cups, Cookies, Nerds and did I say, Lollipops!!! Today Sandy and Rod came by to give our Cupcake some treats. She was thrilled to see them! It was a great way to start our Trick or Treat adventure.

James and I took Caroline to her first house EARLY! We're talking 5:00. We were the typical first time parents, equipped with video camera and holding her hand. She caught on pretty quick and wanted "another house!" Two more houses and on to Pop and Nana's, where we knew for sure she would score some great treats. She thought it was exciting to go to their front door to Trick or Treat. Pop and Nana had some fun treats and lots of love for our girl. We also got to see James's cousin Rachel, her husband and baby Reece. Reece was surly the sweetest skunk ever and Caroline wanted to keep her!

We came home to Trick or Treat at our house and Uncle Jack came to the door with candy. She and Uncle Jack later shared a Reese's cup and she was loving it! Mimi came over with yummy Chili and Pumpkin Cake. We Skyped with Ty, Becca and Sky and were so happy to see her in her Lady Bug costume! She was adorable. I wish they could have been here with us! Caroline had a blast playing with her Mimi and answering the door to the Trick or Treaters! Our friends the Terry's came by with their cute boys dressed up. What a Happy Halloween!

Love the blue lollipop satisfaction!

From Minnie Mouse to Miss Cupcake, we've come along way in a year. I cannot imagine what next year has in store! Bring it on!!

More Seasonal Excitement

"Trunk or Treat" at church was spectacular! Caroline was adorable. We just wanted to eat her up!! We're so glad she gets to wear the costume again next weekend.

Pumpkin Patch

We had perfect weather for a fall outing this morning. The cold is beginning to turn the leaves too. James and I took our girl to the Oakes Farm. Caroline was adorable all bundled up in her gear. She loved seeing the scarecrows and all of the children. Most of all she loved her first hay ride. She kept calling it the "school bus," which was hilarious! We picked a big pumpkin from the patch. We checked out the cool tractors and that was about as much excitement as a 20 month old could take. Now, Caroline is down for her nap and we've got the fireplace going. Great day!

We Love a Wild Weekend!

We had such a wild weekend! Tyler, Becca and Skylar drove in from Richmond. Lori came in from Florida. Teresa, Becca's mom made the trek from Memphis and Ryan, Jenny and Benjamin, Becca's brother's family, came from Nashville!
On Friday, I was able to go with Ty, Becca and Sky to see an Ultrasound of the new baby! She was moving all around and looked adorable. It was so special to hear her little heartbeat already. On Friday evening, our dad came up for a visit. The girls enjoyed seeing their Grandpa! We had a nice time and went out to eat at Littons. Yum.
Saturday, the Vols actually played an exciting game against Georgia! While the guys were at the game, I prepared for the baby shower. Boy, was it crazy fun! There were babies everywhere, an abundance of pretty pink gifts, great friends, cousins, a couple aunts, an uncle, and a big spread of tasty food. James and I loved having our home so alive and watching Caroline socialize. Wow, does she love a party! I'm sure she will be asking about all of the babies for days to come.
Becca is a lovely pregnant mommy. Skylar is such a sweetie. It is amazing how much she grows between visits. She was ALL over the place! And I'm extremely proud of my little bro, Ty. I love seeing him as a father. I was soooo sad to see them drive away this morning. The next visit will probably be after "baby sis" is born next month. We can't wait! We are so fortunate to have incredible friends and a special family.
