Memphis Meece Visit

We drove to Memphis last weekend to visit Ty, Becca and the girls.  They moved there right before Christmas last year for Tyler's job.  His store is at this very nice, super busy area called Wolfchase.  They moved close down the road in a nice rural community, Lakeland.  We loved it!  It was great to see them.  The drive was actually pretty easy.  Their home is so beautiful!  They made some awesome meals and we had a blast!  All I can say is that it will be a wild week at the end of May when we go to the beach with these guys, plus Mimi, Jack, Lori and Robert!  Can't wait for the craziness.

Caroline got to ride with Aunt Becca to pick up Savannah from school.  Savannah was super surprised!  Look how excited they were!

So, Buddy did not sleep much the 1st night.  Early Saturday morning he was exhausted!

They have this great fenced backyard where the kids played ball, dolls, rode the Jeep and planted a "strawberry bush."

The disguises- trying to catch a thief…

All of us were able to pile in 1 car to go downtown!  We ate some yummy food at Huey's for lunch and rode a Trolley.  Skylar kept calling it a "Charlie," so cute!

Sleepy Buddy and sweet Sky

Caroline and Savannah attempted a sleep over in the same room on the second night.
After a few times of telling them to go to sleep, Savannah told us, " We do not want to sleep together, because we talk too much!"

Hershey Kiss Hurst

On the way to pick up our new puppy James and I were laughing about our "bad luck" with dogs.  The new puppy makes dog #12 that we have cared for, if you count the "six pack" found in Tazwell!  Holy Cow lets hope this one is a keeper, has all his paws and is not nuts!
So far, so good.  He's so sweet, wants to be close to Duncan all the time.  He did perfect the first night in his crate.  We didn't hear a peep from him all night.  Of course, Caroline was up at 3 with a bad dream and then Wilson up at his typical 5:30.  Two kids, 2 dogs- a fun adventure ahead!

We stopped for a quick lunch in this quaint little mountain town Saluda.  We usually stop at this grille on our way to Hilton Head.

So, here's Hershey Kiss.  He is a 4 month old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.  Duncan is the same breed, 5 years old and has been the best dog ever!   Duncan is the Black and Tan and Hershey is a rare color called Chocolate and Tan.  We hope they become great buddies!
