1st Day of Preschool 2011

Twas the Night Before Preschool
Mommy packed a lunch!
Not a little one was stirring
Not even our Dunc!

The lunchbox was packed
with yummies and care
in hopes that Sweet Caroline
would find love in there!
Then off to bed her parents went
with heavy hearts,
So happy and sad for her
new journey to start!

Caroline is now 31/2 and today she started preschool. She will go 2 days a week. We have been talking about it for so long. James and I cannot believe it's already here! She has 2 fabulous teachers and a small class of mostly boys and 3 girls including herself. James so sweetly took the day off work to take his little girl to school and also to support her momma, who most assuredly shed some tears this morning after drop off. We showed up early, the first one there, and she walked into the classroom without looking back! Yeah Caroline!

Walking into the school she said, " This is my first day at school-EVER!"

Washing hands when she first gets to class. This is when she told Ms. Hazel, "I already know all my letters and numbers!"

James and I were so early to pick up Caroline too! We could not wait to see how her day was. Did she cry? Was she sad? Did she make friends? We got to the school and waited around in the hallway until it seemed alright to go in to get her. When we walked through the door, Caroline threw her arms up in the air and said, "Mommy, Daddy Preschool is sooo fun! I love it!" Oh My Goodness, we were ecstatic! She was smiling so big! Her shirt untucked, her face smeared with strawberries and her hair was wild from the windy playground. She told us that she didn't want to go home. How wonderful is that! I am super proud of her!

The after school rest with Daddy and new Rapunzel!

Moving "Home" Soon

Here are a couple of pictures of Caroline "buying" our new house! It was adorable!
She told the realtor that she wanted to buy the house. Ms. Angie asked if she had any money. And of course, in her pockets was play money from her cash register. ( A girl can't leave home without a little cash :) One by one she took out each coin and told the realtor, " This one is for the bathroom. This one is for the princess suite. This one is for the pool.." and so on. Ms. Angie was so sweet and told Caroline she would check with the buyer to see if that would cover it. Hopefully we will hang this photos in our new home soon.
