Wilson Patrick Hurst Church Dedication

Finally at 7 months old, Wilson was introduced to our church!
Our pastor, Dr. Bill Sheill announced that he is leaving First Baptist Knoxville for First Baptist Tallahassee.  Bill has been a friend as well as a pastor and counselor for us.  He married James and me.  He baptized me and he dedicated our Caroline James.  We wanted Wilson to be dedicated by him as well, so we made a quick decision to do it right away.  Obviously, we were not the only ones who felt that way.  There were 2 other families with baby dedications today.

Wilson was such a sweet little baby today!  He was happy at church, had a fantastic nap when we left, then joined his celebration.  We had a lovely lunch with our family.  Caroline James was so happy to celebrate her brother with everyone!  It was a fun day for an incredibly special little boy!  He's an absolute miracle!

Healing Playing and Growing

While James has been recovering from his surgery everyone got sick, sick, sick.  So after lots of kleenex, breathing treatments and medication we are all feeling better!  We have spent lots of time at home-healing, playing and growing.

Wilson is finally feeling alright and starting to get back on a good routine.  He is growing super fast!  I cannot believe 6 months have flown by.  He sits on his own.  He loves to stand if you hold onto him and has pulled up a couple of times.  He rolls pretty much wherever he wants to go, so you cannot leave him anywhere!  He still cannot crawl, though he does this hilarious bouncy motion like he wants to go somewhere.  Maybe he'll be like his sister and go straight to walking.  I have heard Dada quite a bit and his first tooth just popped through.  Wilson's favorite person is sissy!  He watches everything she does and totally lights up when she gives him attention.  He is a real sweetheart, loves to snuggle and kiss momma.  I'm sunk!

Caroline will be 5 in a few weeks.  Wow!  She is such a little lady.  She is so kind and caring to her brother.  Caroline has a tremendous imagination.  It is so fun to observe her creating stories and dreaming up fantasies.  She is definitely daddy's girl, but now likes her mommy to put her to bed at night:)  Caroline enjoys taking ballet and kindermusic.  She is having a blast planning her upcoming mermaid birthday party!  And I am having fun planning her surprise Disney trip!
It's a good thing she doesn't read this blog yet, but my hope is that someday she will.  She can look back at all of these entries, like a journal of her childhood.  Even if no one else ever looks at this blog, hopefully my children will love it!
