Fantasy of Trees

"Round and Round, Round and Round!" Caroline's favorite experience at the Fantasy of Trees was the Carousel. It was her first ride on one--and second! She loved her hair blowing and loved her horsey. How fun!

Mimi went with us to the Fantasy of Trees this morning. We didn't spend as much time looking at all of the gorgeous trees as we would have without a toddler, but we got to do a quick cruise by most of them. Caroline had a candy cane painted on her hand. I helped her to decorate a jingle bell ornament and yes, we rode the Carousel-twice. James and I just love seeing her experience new things. Her expressions are precious. She enjoyed having her Mimi there and we all had a fun lunch afterwards.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!!!!

We are thankful for, LOVE!!

Somehow, I brilliantly posted Round 2 of Thanksgiving first. So, here's our day--in reverse!

Caroline woke from her nap and we had a quick wardrobe change to head to Nana and Pop's. Their home was beautifully decorated for Christmas already, inside and out! Caroline LOVES all of the decorations. The Collins family was there and the Sharpes and Holberts as well. We ate and ate and ate. Aunt Gwynn played a little piano for Caroline. Cousin Rachel danced with her and Mary Elizabeth was her buddy for the night. Caroline always loves seeing baby Reece too! Reece was so cute and sweet all evening. We have such a wonderful family! We love you all!

We have so much to be thankful for this year! We have a new niece, Savannah Jane Meece! She was born Monday the 16th. You can see some adorable photos on The Meece's blog. I cannot wait to hold her in a couple of weeks!!

Thanksgiving was tons of fun. Mimi stayed overnight on Wednesday and stayed up late helping me cook. On Thanksgiving morning, we enjoyed the parade and mostly Caroline, just being Caroline! Jack and Lori came over with the key ingredients for our meal, turkey and pie. We are very thankful to have Lori as a permanent Tennessean now! Lunch was yummy. We missed Ty and Becca and the girls, but we got to Skype with them, which I will have to admit is pretty cool. We are thankful for all of our special family and love you all!

A Very Merry Mickey Christmas--or something like that

We are sooo taking Caroline next time!! What a magical place, Disney World. James had a conference and the two of us had a blast. We covered a lot of ground in 3 days. From Soarin' to the Tower of Terror, to It's a Small World, we loved the rides! The shows were fabulous too. Our favorite experience was the Christmas Parade and Fireworks! We came home exhausted and ready to see our little girl!!

Play Date

DECEMBER 8, 2008
LILA AND CAROLINE
KINDERMUSIC

NOVEMBER 9, 2009
PARK

Caroline had her first official "play date" with a friend. We went to a park and met Lila and her mother, Deborah. Lila has been in Caroline's Kindermusic class since she was about 6 months old. They were so cute playing together today. Lila is brave and strong. She definitely encouraged Caroline to try new things. And, as usual, Caroline had much to say, "Hello Lila, Hi Lila, Come here Lila" and lots of "Oh My Goodness!" So much fun.
