Wilson's First Trip to the Beach!

Over Labor Day week, we went with Nana and Pop to Hilton Head.  We love it there!  We have had the same condo for a few years.  It feels like a home away from home for a short week.  

I was a little nervous about lugging all of the baby gear and about how Wil would do in the car, but it was actually quite easy.  He got fussy towards the end of the ride, but we did too!!  

As far as the beach goes, he was fairly unimpressed this year.  He screamed when I put his toes in the water.  Mostly he just napped and enjoyed the breeze!  

Caroline has grown into such an amazing young girl!  On the beach, she is curious and more brave than in years past.  She is a non-stop ball of sunshine, bright and beautiful!  We love watching her enjoy life!

It was also fabulous to spend time with Nana and Pop.  I even talked them into playing a game with me one evening!   I appreciated their help with the baby tremendously, as I was able to sleep allll night a couple of times!  And the Saturday we drove home, Mimi stayed the night with us!  It was great to see her and fantastic that she got up to feed Wilson all night!  I've been pretty spoiled!

GROWING UP

We cannot believe Caroline has lost her first baby tooth!  Doesn't she look beautiful?! 

Her bottom 2 teeth have been a little loose for a while, but we didn't think they were any where near ready to come out.  Yesterday, she was swimming with her daddy when it happened.  She was trying to pull him off of his pool float.  He didn't realize that she bit his swim shorts while pulling him, and he rolled off the opposite side of the float away from her.  She said, "Oh that hurt my teeth!"  Daddy checked her out and sure enough it was gone!  She was so sweet, no tears, just so shocked!  We could not find the tooth, so James went to the store, bought goggles, came back and scoured the bottom of the pool!  What a hero!  He actually found the tiny tooth on the bottom!  I cannot believe it because the bottom of the pool is completely speckled and the tooth is so small.  Daddy was not going to let that tooth be lost forever!  

 Caroline had me write this note for the tooth fairy.  She was thrilled to see the fairy had taken it during the night!

 The fairy delivered big prizes for the first baby tooth!!
